Proposed Bill of Costs

 

 

Step by Step Procedures:

1. Select [Adversary or Bankruptcy > Other]

 

2. Enter case number and click Next

 

3. The verification screen will display. Verify you are docketing on correct case. If notClosed click the back button to go back to the case number field and re-enter the case number/If yes

 

4. Select Proposed Bill of Costs from pick list and click Next

 

5. Select the attorney representing party or Select/Create Attorney and click Next

 

6. Select party from party pick or Add/Create new party and click Next


BK Rule 7054(b) provides that a Bill of Costs be presented to the Clerk on notice to the other parties.

The Clerk will NOT tax costs unless the Judgment Order specifically awards costs to the prevailing party.

 

7. Browse, View, Attach, and click Next

 

8. Select Judgment Order and click Next

 

9. The Final Text Editing screen will display. Verify the accuracy of the docket text. If not correctClosed click Adversary or Bankruptcy to overIf correct

 

10. Click Next to save the entry

 

The Notice of Electronic Filing will display. It s the verification that the filing has been sent electronically to the court.

Copies of this notice and the document filed are emailed to all participants who receive electronic notification in the case. You have a period of 15 days for a one time free look at the document filed.
